Well, our movie night is officially over. We started the night off with a lesson on Nehemiah. We learned that Nehemiah was a man with a vision who went on his mission, but only after he had permission. We focused on Nehemiah 2:4-8, 15-18.
After the lesson, we were blessed with a multitude of food and drinks from our great hosts (Steve Mogdan and his family). There was pizza, candy, cider and veggies to round out the treats. (And yes, your kids actually ate veggies all by themselves...)
We watched Meet the Robinsons, which was a very random, but entertaining movie. I would recommend the movie for any family night of your own. The movie revolves around a beautiful quote from Walt Disney:
"Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things... and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."It was a great lesson for any student or even adult to hear if they are looking for motivation.
It was a great night to get together and create a bond between everyone. I am so excited for the community feeling that is starting to form between everyone. The Jam is blazing forward, and our next series will only continue to light our path. (A post will follow next week on official information, so make sure to look for it!)
Thanks for an amazing night, and if you see the Mogdans around the church, please say thank you to them for opening their home to us, and their love for the ministry, too.
